Elementary school Robin Hood gives away his father’s money

The Patriot Ledger

Call him Robin Hood, Santa Claus, or a misguided angel.

An 8-year-old at Plymouth's Manomet Elementary School boy gave away two $100 bills in less than two weeks. He was ready to give away another $100 to a friend in need on Wednesday, but teachers stopped him.

The boy had taken the money from his father’s office, police said.

He gave the first $100 to a friend who needed money for an upcoming family vacation, police said. The second went to another friend.

The third was confiscated after teachers found about the money.

The boy’s father told police he is a small business owner and sometimes has cash in the house.

All of the money was recovered and returned to the boy’s father who told police he wasn’t angry with his son.
