The Breast Cancer Fund’s Climb Against the Odds took off for the summit of 14,162 foot Mount Shasta Tuesday morning, June 17. Among 40 climbers from all over the United States and several foreign countries, local climber and breast cancer survivor Hillie Crowfoot, right with, and Shasta Mountain Guides co-owner Jenn Carr, left, get ready to head to base camp in preparation for the Wednesday night ascent. The Climb Against the Odds is a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Fund. An after climb celebration takes place Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Mount Shasta city park recreation hall.
