A 15-year-old boy is dead after being struck Tuesday night by an MBTA commuter train on the Needham commuter rail line east of Bellevue Station in Roslindale.

MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo told media sources that the victim and another 15-year-old were walking along the tracks when the train struck one of them shortly before 6:30 p.m. The second person was uninjured, according to Pesaturo.
