Students of all ages got a change to learn about the Earth and world geography Friday at Bridgewater State College.

By using the Earth Balloon, a 20-foot high canvas structure, students were able to examine the relationships of people and their environments from varied perspectives.

This year’s national Geography Bee representative William Lee, of Woburn, was also on hand. Lee placed third in the national competition.

Bridgewater State College professor Vernon Domingo tutored Lee for the competition.

The college is leasing the balloon for six months, and hopes to purchase the learning tool in the future, college president Dana Mohler-Faria said during a press event Friday.
