An Anna teen will be featured on a nationally televised program on the GAC network Sunday.

Eighteen-year-old Eli Tellor will have a song that he wrote and recorded entitled "Doctor" featured on the network's "The Next GAC Star" to be aired at 4:30 p.m.

Tellor has been writing and performing for several years and is becoming well known in Southern Illinois and the Nashville area.

Tellor submitted the song and, shortly after submission, his manager Scott Winn received an email asking if GAC could use the song for broadcast and if there was a video available.

Plans were immediately put into motion to film a video locally. John Eibeck, assistant police chief for the City of Marion, operates Custom Video and said he would be happy to do the video.

The video was filmed at a home in Herrin with local people cast in various parts. The little boy in the video is Gavin Jordan of Herrin and the little girl is played by Paige Wieland of Herrin.  Scott Winn plays Katie's dad.

"I was excited to try this because it was something he had always wanted to do," Eibeck said. "This was a very interesting project and the actors were really fun to work with."

Winn said that he wrote the script for the video.

"It took us about six hours to film it and then we had some rework to do on it," Winn said. "We met the network's deadline and they said that they would be airing it. This is a marvelous opportunity for Eli to get national exposure and should go a great distance to benefit his career."

Tellor will be performing several times at this year's Du Quoin State Fair.
