CHF Industries is closing its Fall River distribution plant by the end of the year, cutting 115 jobs at the textile manufacturer in another blow to the city’s fading textile industry.

CHF, which was once one of the world’s largest curtain manufacturers, plans to move the work to a larger plant in Loris, S.C. Charlotte, N.C.-based CHF already had one round of job cuts in Fall River this year when it cut about 90 employees and ceased manufacturing at the site.

This is the second closure announcement for a major textile plant in Fall River within a year, along with Quaker Fabric’s bankruptcy last year.
