Equity firm raises $600M to invest in mid-sized companies

Constitution Capital Partners, a new private equity firm in Boston, has raised $600 million from the United Kingdom’s second largest pension fund to invest in North American mid-sized companies. The pension fund, Universities Superannuation Scheme, will also take a 10 percent ownership stake in CCP. The private equity firm will focus on making direct investments of $10 million to $45 million in companies valued between $100 million and $1 billion.
