He has seen the Boston Bruins like few have. And now Medford native Steve Babineau is finally showing off his extensive collection in one epic volume.

“Black and Gold: Four Decades of the Boston Bruins in Photographs,” is a full-color 258-page pictorial examination of one of the NHL’s Original Six franchises. Sporting over 300 images it is a personal history of the Bruins as seen through the lens of Babineau, the team’s photographer for more than 35 years.

“To spend 35 years working doing something that you love and your able to put it together in a book is pretty magical,” said Babineau. “To be around so many great players through the years, the legends, the building, the Garden, even the Bull Gang and the people who work in the building, they always looked out for me. And having my family, my kids all being there, and [my son] Brian helping me, it's pretty special.”
