At 11:04 a.m. Sunday, a 911 call was made to the Jasper County dispatch center. A man was checking on his parents when they didn't show up for church and found them both dead.

"We're classifying it as a double homicide," Jasper County Sheriff Archie Dunn said at a news conference Sunday afternoon.

Jasper County Sheriff deputies are still investigating along with assistance from the Carthage and Webb City Police Departments and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

"We have no suspects or motive," said Dunn. "We're still trying to put the pieces together."

Dunn said the victims were at a Sunday school weenie roast Saturday night. Police are trying to go with information from there. Dunn said he believed the Sunday school was from Fairview Christian Church.

Initial reports said the 911 call was dispatched to the Old Cabin Shop on Mound Street in Carthage, however, Dunn couldn't confirm.
