Good to Know

Getting through security at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – the world’s busiest – just got quicker. The airport added 10 security lanes to speed up screening and now has a total of 32 lanes. The airport’s goal is to have travelers wait no more than 10 minutes in a security line.

Fun Facts

- Northern Avenue opened as Yerevan, Armenia's first pedestrian avenue this year, linking the two main hubs of Republic Square and the Opera. (

- Ever felt an urge to dine on rattlesnake meat? You can get it at Buffalo Bistro, an eatery in tiny Mount Carmel Junction, Utah. (

Travel Tip: RTW trips

Rather than buying separate flights from one destination to another, a flexible and sometimes cheaper way of international travel is via round the world (RTW) tickets. A round the world ticket is a plane ticket allowing you to fly around the world, usually over a period of up to a year, and with between three and 10 stops. RTW tickets cost far less than the sum of the one-way tickets between each set of individual stops. They are usually slightly more expensive than a return ticket between destinations on opposite sides of the world, but if you were planning two or more stops, then you may find that an RTW ticket is the cheapest option and allows you at least a side trip.
