Marshfield hubby among America’s hottest

Three weeks after her first date with Trent Everett, Caroline told her sister that she was going to marry him. She did, and four years later, the 32-year-old Marshfield man, a government employee, is one of 25 finalists in Redbook Magazine's “Hottest Husband” contest. The winner will be chosen through an online vote.

Trent Everett didn’t find out about the contest until he saw himself listed online with the other finalists. “I think he was very surprised and pretty embarrassed,” Caroline Everett said. “I don’t think he thinks of himself that way.”

The couple live on Homeland Drive and have two daughters, Maya, 4, and Faith, 2.

“He had these huge dark brown eyes that were so intense,” Caroline told Redbook about the first time she met her future husband. “When he talked to me, he made me feel like I was the only person in the room.”

Caroline Everett said her husband often brings her flowers and gives their two daughters smaller bouquets with notes that say things like, “Be good for mom.”

He’s also a great father who enjoys playing with his kids, she said. “He'll even paint their toenails and play dress-up with them,” his wife said. “He's not afraid of doing girly things. It's sweet!”

“He is such a good person, that I feel better about myself that I’m with him,” she added.

“He’s a good person, and he’s a hot husband.”
