Archdiocese unveils new, livelier Web site

With a little help from Boston’s patron saint, the Archdiocese has launched a revamped Web site.

The old site, rcab.org, has been banished. For St. Patrick’s Day, Cardinal Sean O’Malley has introduced a livelier, more interactive site, BostonCatholic.org.

In a prepared statement, Cardinal O’Malley said the site is meant to be a “new means of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Catholic Church to the faithful of the Archdiocese and the wider community.”

“I am confident that visitors will find this new site to be inspiring, informative and user-friendly.”

The new site features a slide show of images from worship services and other Archdiocese activities, videos and streamlined navigation, including a point-and-click parish map and drop-down links to the Arise renewal program and other elements of Catholic faith and education.
