Mount Shasta will soon be filled with visitors from around the world who are all looking forward to the 15th annual Wesak Festival, which will take place this weekend.

Wesak events, lectures, presentations, and workshops will begin on Friday at the gymnasium at Sisson Elementary.

Several well-known individuals will be featured at this year’s festival, including  best selling authors Drs. Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, who specialize in relationship counseling. They may look familiar, as they are regularly featured on Oprah and popular television shows discussing the art of attracting loving relationships.

Also featured this year is Mount Shasta’s Nancy Marie, creator of the “I Create What I Believe!” self-awareness art program – which is based on the research of Dr. Bruce Lipton. Marie will be teaching the audience how to remove subconscious blocks to the joy of loving everyone.

Other presenters include Dr. Saul Shaye, a spiritual healer; Hollister Rand, former associate of James Van Pragh, teaching how to connect with the departed; Ce Ann, internationally known visionary and channel; Mary Saint-Marie, mystic author, poet and spiritual educator, and Mount Shasta locals and spiritual teachers Amorah Quan Yin of the Dolphin Star Temple; Troika St. Germain and Joanna Cherry, both of whom will lead special meditations.

The Wesak Vendors Fair is a popular aspect of the festival. The Vendor Fair presents a wide array of products and services, including organic skin care products, angel statues, hand-made jewelry, crystals, clothing, healing silk scarves, original art prints and paintings, amethyst bio-mats, herbal and other alternative health products, various consciousness-expanding products, books, CDs, and much more.

Also all speakers will have a presence in the Vendor Fair making their various books, CDs and other products available.

Wesak is the celebration of the birthday of the Buddha believed to be spiritually attended by a broad array of saints and avatars. The event has been celebrated at the foot of Mt. Shasta for the past 15 years and attracts attendance from all over the world.

Originally founded by Dr. Joshua Stone, the Wesak Festival is now staged by Dawn Fazende, editor/publisher of Mount Shasta magazine.

The 2009 Festival is a founding event for the International Love Convocation, May 3 through the 10, which is dedicated to creating an annual week when people around the world focus on learning the joy of loving everyone.
