Reader callout: Gulf Coast vacation photos
Reader-submitted photos of past vacations on the Gulf Coast promo ad in Quark and Adobe InDesign
There are a lot of photos in the news on the Gulf Coast, but they all have to do with the oil that’s leaking into the waters nearby and washing ashore. Ask for readers’ photos of past vacations they’ve taken in the area, to compare how the area looks now and then.
To your right you will see three promotions that you can use to seek readers' submissions.
The promotions are set up to run as a 5x2 or a 1x2 on your front page either at the bottom of the page or in your rail, or a 4x3 that works into some of GateHouse’s page 2 templates. We also are including the text for the ad in case you want to format it with your own fonts. We encourage newspapers to run the promotion in print and on the homepage of your Web site. We include an image sized perfectly for an online promo, too.
There's a spot on the promos to add your local e-mail address for submissions and Web site information.
If you have any questions about this feature, please contact Lisa Glowinski, editor of GateHouse News Service, at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We want your Gulf Coast photos
Send us your vacation and scenery photos of how the Gulf Coast used to look. E-mail to xxxxx xxxxxx at xxxxxxxxxxx by June X, and we’ll run them in our newspaper and online at xxxxxxxxxxxx.com.
The Quark ad is available in versions 4, 6 and 7. The InDesign ad is available in versions CS, CS2 and CS3. The end of each filename indicates the version (for example, family_ad_ghns_6.qxd is for Quark 6, etc.).

FONTS FOR QUARK & INDESIGN FILES
This link will allow you to download fonts used with this page. Each newspaper should install the fonts on no more than three workstations. We recommend: Two workstations that the pages are produced on and a station where negatives and/or plates are produced.
Once you click on the link, the fonts will land on your desktop. Once there, doubleclick the icon to access the folder. The fonts will be inside the folder. You will need to install these fonts where your current fonts are located.
For most Mac OS 9 platforms, your fonts will be located inside the the Font folder inside the System folder on your hard drive. You will need to quit, then restart all open applications. If you have questions about how to do this, feel free to get in touch with us.
Once you have downloaded the fonts and installed them on your computer, you do not have to install them again.
(These are open type fonts, which should work on PC and Mac platforms. For computers running Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x must install ATM 4.6 (adobe type manager) first, which can be downloaded free here.)
If you encounter any technical difficulties with the ads, please e-mail Danielle Torricelli email@example.com.
