QUESTION: I own a couple of old V/8 muscle cars with a 440 V/8 And a 455 V/8. What additives do you recommend to protect the valves and valve seats?

ANSWER: There are many additives on the market and available at any high performance speed shop. There is always old reliable Marvel Mystery Oil.

QUESTION: What can you tell me about the 2010 Jeep Wrangler? I currently own a 2004 Wrangler six-cylinder automatic and want to trade it in.

ANSWER: There is no way to compare the 2004 old body style to the 2010. I spent a week it a 2010 Unlimited Rubicon V/6 manual transmission. This is not a Jeep for daily highway driving. If your travels take you on the highway, do not buy the Rubicon. The Rubicon is a true off-road vehicle. Another thought is a four-door or two-door model. With that said, the 2010 Wrangler is much refined over your 2004. Everything from the power windows and locks, security system, GPS, etc. Our test Wrangler did ride hard, and the large off-road tires were noisy on the highway. The seats were comfortable and the wind noise was minimal on the highway.

QUESTION: I own a 2004 Chevrolet Impala SS. I am 63 years old and have had a lot of problems with the front brake rotors. The first time was at 8,900 miles, second at 23,000, and third at 45,790 miles. Now at 54,500 miles the rotors again are causing pulsation. I am reluctant to spend money again at a GM dealer. Are there any aftermarket companies that make a better quality brake rotor?

ANSWER: There are many aftermarket brake companies that do offer excellent, high-quality brake rotors unlike the factory poor quality that are also over priced. Check online for high quality rotors; also check tire

QUESTION: I am 62 years old and own a 2000 Mercury Sable with only 67,000 miles. The headlights are very cloudy and I cannot see well at night. What can I do? Are there better lights I can put in?

ANSWER: The plastic headlight lenses can only be cleaned so much. Check with your local auto body shop or auto repair shop for a price on replacement headlights. You can then replace the bulbs with higher output whiter bulbs.
