Paul Gianera race -- The Mt. Shasta Race Association and Mt. Shasta Ski Team will host the annual Paul Gianera Memorial Race at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park. Fun competition open to skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers of all ages and ability levels.

Gun antiques & collectibles -- The 29th annual Redding Breakfast Lions Club Gun Antiques and Collectibles Show, March 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and March 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Redding Convention Center. Admission: $6, adults; children under 12, free with adult. Projects benefit youth and charitable projects. Over 150 vendors and 300 tables of merchandise and exhibits. Includes Kilroy World War II living history displays of German and allied materials. Nor-Cal Veterans Historical Association will be present with helicopter and Vietnam and Gulf War era memorabilia.

Sunday brunch -- Sunday Brunch and Silent Auction fundraiser, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Coffee Connection, downtown Mount Shasta. Menu: pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, dessert, coffee and orange juice. Cost: $10, adults; $6, kids ages 10 and under.
