Vendors wanted

Weed is looking for non-profit originations and vendors to participate at the 57th Weed Carnevale. With continuous entertainment, including live music, dancing carnival rides, games, food booth, beer, wine and commercial vending, spaces are limited for food booths.

On a first come, first served basis (with preference given for seniority), the space will be open to commercial food vendors May 31. Applications and rules are available online at www.weedchamber.com/ or call (530) 938-4624 for more information.

Weed volunteers

The Weed Visitor Center Cabin is looking for volunteers to help the travelers that are passing by on I-5 or Hwy 97 to stop and stay. All adults ages 18-118 are welcome to volunteer to work for 2 to 3 hours once or twice a week. College students – do you have time this summer to help out the community? Volunteer work is great on your resume. Retired locals –  you know where everything is and can direct people the right way to fall in love with Siskiyou County.

Also, the Weed Chamber of Commerce is starting sign-ups for volunteers for the 57th Annual Weed Carnevale. Setting up will start July 5, and volunteers help will be needed though the 11th; all different skills are wanted.
