To do tonight: Watch 'American Idol'; 'Priest' opens Friday the 13th

Dinner idea: Reuben Dinner Pie??

Crust:

    •    2⁄3 cup oatmeal

    •    1⁄2 cup Thousand Island dressing

    •    1 egg

    •    3⁄4 teaspoon salt

    •    1⁄4 teaspoon pepper

    •    1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder

Filling:

    •    1 pound pastrami or corned beef slices, chopped

    •    1⁄4 cup onion, chopped

    •    1 (16-ounce) can sauerkraut, drained

    •    2 cups swiss cheese, shredded

    •    1 1⁄2 teaspoons caraway seeds

    •    Parsley for garnish

Crust: Mix crust ingredients thoroughly and press into bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Filling: Combine ingredients. Spoon into shell. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees or until cheese melts.

On TV: ‘American Idol’ on Fox at 8 p.m. EDT/ 7 p.m. CDT

Four contestants remain in the fight to be the next “American Idol.” Lady Gaga serves as mentor, and the singers are assigned songs from the songwriting duo Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.

Weekend tip: "Priest" opens Friday the 13th

Another Friday the 13th is here! Tell scary stories or watch scary movies with your family. “Priest,” a PG-13 movie that’s perfect for Friday the 13th, is opening this weekend. Also opening is “Bridesmaids,” an R-rated comedy starring Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, and “Everything Must Go,” an R-rated film starring Will Ferrell.
