Movie review: ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’

The big Fourth of July movie this year is “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” (Scroll down to watch the trailer.) This PG-13 flick is the third movie in the franchise, and director Michael Bay has promised this will be better than the second film, which was not well-received critically.

On TV: ‘Expedition Impossible’ on ABC at 9 p.m. EDT/ 8 p.m. CDT

In this reality-competition series, 13 three-person teams race across deserts, snow-capped mountains and raging rivers in Morocco for a chance to win $50,000 each. Tonight, teams must tame spirited horses and kayak down a river.

Dinner idea: Quick & Healthy Potato Salad

    • 1 1/2 pounds red potatoes

    • 1 cup non-fat plain yogurt

    • 1/3 cup minced red onion

    • 1/3 cup thinly sliced celery

    • 1/4 cup minced dill pickles plus 1 tablespoon juice

    • 1/2 tablespoon yellow mustard

    • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

    • Freshly ground pepper to taste

    • Chopped fresh parsley

Place whole potatoes (do not poke) into microwave-safe dish. Cover with plastic wrap, and poke small holes in plastic. Microwave on high 10 to 12 minutes, depending on strength of microwave. Remove, and carefully remove cover from dish, but beware of steam buildup, and let cool. Cut potatoes into bite-size pieces, and place in a large bowl with remaining ingredients. Stir well to mix. Makes 4 servings.
