Possible human remains found in north Siskiyou County will be examined by experts to determine if they could be related to unsolved homicide or missing persons cases.

On Tuesday, March 5, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department detectives and search and rescue personnel, with the help of the California Rescue Dog Association, conducted a search of an area near North Kidder Creek Road where the remains were found, said Jayme Lynch, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department.

“The bones we recovered are being transported to a laboratory where experts will examine them,” said Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey. “A comparison will be made with unsolved homicide and missing persons cases once any identifying information is obtained.”
