Railroad Days now underway in Dunsmuir

Dunsmuir's 2013 Railroad Days kicks off today with plenty of music and fun. Check out the below schedule so you can plan your Railroad Days weekend:
FRIDAY, JUNE 7
10am –5pm Display of railroad art and photos at Siskiyou Arts Museum, 5824 Dunsmuir Avenue
1pm – 5pm Railroad Museum next to Amtrak Depot open
1pm – 5pm Model train displays on Sacramento Avenue
1pm-4pm Bands playing live railroad music on Sacramento Avenue stage
5pm Talent Show starts on Sacramento Avenue stage
SATURDAY, JUNE 8
7 am Dunsmuir Ave. & Pine St. $20 late registration for River Run, 2-mile and 5-miles races.
8 am Start of River Run.
8 - 11 am Rotary Club pancake breakfast at ST. John's Parrish Hall, Shasta Avenue and Willow Street
8:30am Registration for soap box derby at south side of Children's Park. $5
9:30am Soap Box Derby starts on Dunsmuir Avenue
10am - 5pm Model train display at Cedar Flats Railroad Club and on Sacramento Avenue
10 am - 5pm Display of railroad art and photos at Siskiyou Arts Museum, 5824 Dunsmuir Avenue
10am - 11:30am Little Engineer Contest at Children's Park. $1 per entry
11:30am - 5pm Kids' activities at Children's Park
10am - 5pm Railroad Museum next to Amtrak Depot open
10am - 10pm Live entertainment on Sacramento Avenue stage
10am - 6pm Food, craft, train and nonprofit booths on Sacramento Avenue
11am - 2pm Live coverage of event by Z100 Radio
Noon - 1 pm Parade on Dunsmuir Avenue and Sacramento Avenue
2pm Awards Ceremony for parade winners on Sacramento Avenue stage
4 pm Poets & writers share their work on the travel theme at Siskiyou Arts Museum, 5824 Dunsmuir Avenue
5 pm Button Raffle on Sacramento Avenue stage
