Dunsmuir Growers Market opens Thursday in new location

The Dunsmuir Growers Market will begin its 18th year this Thursday, June 27 at a new time and in a new location.

Opening at 3:30 p.m. and running until 6:30 p.m., the market is now located on Spruce Street, adjacent to Dunsmuir Brewery Works.

Along with fresh produce, it features barbecue, hand-hewn treasures by local artisans, ready-to-eat treats and live entertainment.

The Dunsmuir Fire Department will have its big new engine on-site Thursday and will supply a cooling spray with its mister. Jimmy Limo will play tunes from the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s.

Also new this year, market manager Wendy Crist has arranged for a wireless terminal for running EBT transactions.
