Fast-food workers in 50 cities are striking today, demanding higher pay. Workers are striking at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's and KFC. They are demanding that they be paid a minimum of $15 an hour, up from the median pay in the U.S. of $9 an hour. At $9 an hour, a worker would make just $18,500 a year.
Monopoly's new gamepiece has officially made its debut. When you buy new boxes of the popular game, you now will get a cat gamepiece instead of the iron. The cat made it into the game after an online vote earlier this year.
The Dow Jones opened at 14,824.51 after finishing up 48.38 points Wednesday.
