There were minor skirmishes in California, Virginia, Texas, New Jersey and more, but no major problems happened at any Walmarts or other stores on the busiest shopping day of the year.

According to a new CNN/ORC International poll, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is the favorite for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016. Christie has been in the spotlight for several years and is perhaps the most famous governor in the U.S., and it’s apparently helping his reputation: 24 percent of Republicans say they’d support Christie.
