Search for shooting suspect in Mount Shasta

Authorities were searching the south Mount Shasta area on the ground and with a California Highway Patrol helicopter Thursday afternoon, March 27, for a suspect involved in a shooting incident.

One Mount Shasta resident reported receiving two automated phone calls from the Mount Shasta Police Department: the first to say a shooting had occurred near the Roseburg property and a suspect was on foot, and a second to say a suspect had been taken into custody.
