Best of Mt Shasta brings workshops, music and vendors to City Park

The fifth Best of Mt Shasta Conference & Festival began Friday at Mt. Shasta City Park and continues Saturday and Sunday.

The fifth Best of Mt Shasta Conference & Festival began Friday at Mt. Shasta City Park and is continuing through the weekend, Aug 9 and 10.

Workshops, music, vendors and food are featured during the event that is subtitled: “Discover Your Self Here.”

Event founder Andrée Morgana said Friday was a busy day that began with an opening ceremony led by Jack Thom Sr, a Karuk elder. She said 30 people from Spain were part of the audience.

“Native Healing” was the theme of Friday’s workshops.

Saturday’s workshops are all based around “Spirit and Spirituality.” See the schedule here

Saturday's presenters include Catherine Yergeer-Catlin, Cathy Casey, Sakkara Heartsong, Peter Mt Shasta, Meg Benedicte, Atara Melo, Dick Clark, Della Clark, and Beverly Ann Wilson.

Sunday's presenters include Arian Sarris, Sahari Lotus, Bret Leuder, Allou Guthmiller, Emily Rivera, Sandy Patterson, Jannirose and Charlie Fenimore, Marilyn Taylor, Mindy Mitchell, Ylara Khasa, Suzanne McQueen, Yoj Chase, Dr. Arlan Cage, Robin Benatti, Ahuva, and Sahadev and Friends.
