Jessica Zern often uses butterfly wings in her art, which will be on display at Directions next month.

The work of artist Jessica Zern will be featured at Directions in Mount Shasta from Friday, June 7 until Sunday, June 16.

Zern started her business, “Natural Flipside” in 2005, inspired by a monarch butterfly she found.

Her passion for nature is what drives Zern to create jewelry, according to a press release. Each one is infused with her respect and intention, finding inspiration in the beauty of her surroundings and her commitment to the environment.

“Let’s share the beauty of everyday, so that each day may be seen for the beautiful marvel that it is,” Zern said.

Five percent of all proceeds will be donated to groups that support and improve the environment and humanity.

An opening reception for Zern will be held Friday, June 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Directions, 312 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd.
