These 5 Lady Eagles earned Golden Valley All-Conference nods
Five College of the Siskiyou's softball players were named to the Golden Valley All-Conference team, three to the first team and two others to the second.
Yreka High School graduate and Ashley Cox; outfielder Ericka Allen from Roseburg, Ore.; and utility player Zoe Mendez from Santa Cruz, Calif., were named to the first team.
Mount Shasta High School graduate Jolene Rhoades and Etna High School graduate Halliday Hubbard were named to the second team.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, COS played only a conference schedule this season. The Lady Eagles finished the year 12-12 overall.
Cox, a redshirt sophomore, had a .377 batting average with 20 RBIs and 12 runs.
Allen, a freshman, had a .456 batting average with 21 runs and 13 RBIs.
Mendez, a freshman, finished with a .338 batting average with three home runs, 21 RBIs, and 12 runs.
Hubbard, a freshman, batted .287 with a home run, 22 runs, 16 RBIs, and five stolen bases.
Rhodes, a sophomore pitcher, won six games on the mound for the Eagles and finished with 37 strikeouts.
