Missing Yreka man's body found

The body of a missing Yreka man was discovered Wednesday in the Hawkinsville area, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office reported.  

Kenneth Paul Kyle, 52, was last seen early in the morning on Nov. 3, 2021, in the Yreka area, according to the sheriff's office. 

Shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday, a California Highway Patrol Helicopter located  Kyle’s missing Ford F-150 pickup truck in a wooded area off Long Gulch Road in the Hawkinsville area near Yreka.

The sheriff’s department said a deputy found Kyle deceased at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing, and an autopsy will be completed in the near future to determine the manner and cause of death, the sheriff’s department said.

There's no indication of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding Kyle’s death, the sheriff’s office said. It appears he was woodcutting in the area.
