Siskiyou sheriff's office investigating bullets shot into Montague Community Center

The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help identifying who shot bullets into the Montague Community Center.

The sheriff's office said it received several reports at 9:23 p.m. last Saturday of multiple gunshots heard around Montague Community Center, 216 S. 11th St. in Montague. Investigators found numerous bullets struck the building, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office requests the public's help identifying any vehicles or people who were seen in the area when the shots were fired.

Investigators also are interested in speaking to homeowners who live in a three- to four-block radius of the Montague Community Center and have surveillance video spanning 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the night of the shooting. Homeowners can call the sheriff's office at 530-841-2900 and ask to speak with a detective
