Nissan Safety Recall Woes

Staff Writer
Mount Shasta Herald

One vocal driver in particular reported that he was in the process of making a left turn and, when he attempted to remove his foot from the accelerator, he found that it was trapped. The driver managed to use his right hand to free his foot from this precarious position but not before nearly leaving the roadway and skidding to a halt. He determined that the sole of his leather work boot had been trapped by the edge of a “trim piece.”

These types of complaints and the resulting investigations can certainly lead to safety recalls, however at this time none has been issued.

Here are a few of the latest safety recalls from Nissan and other import automakers. Yes, I know that several of these vehicles are manufactured in the good old U.S. of A., but they are sold by foreign automakers. Don’t forget to look for your build date (month/year) located inside the driver’s door jamb on most cars, if you need to know when your car was manufactured.
