ICON’s 1948 Buick Super is Insanely Cool
Under that scuffed hood, though, you'll find a modern 638-horsepower LS9 V-8. The body is hung off of a one-off Art Morrison chassis with a modern power steering unit, coil-overs and a modern automatic transmission with overdrive in place of the two-gear Dynaflow the Buick originally came with. Stuffed under the fenders, look for BF Goodrich G-Force blackwalls on black wheels with baby moon hubcaps.
The car showed up last weekend at the Quail Lodge show during Monterey Car Week. For a full photo gallery of the 1948 Buick Super, and ICON's BR Series Bronco, TR Series Thriftmaster and FJ Series Land Cruiser interpretations, visit our pals over at BoldRide.com.
