Coronavirus live updates: What we know about COVID-19 in the north state
Shasta County's coronavirus caseload remained the same Wednesday, the same day the county announced a new online "COVID alert" that will let residents more easily track the disease as more businesses reopen.
The county's shastaready.org website will soon have graphs and more showing disease transmission, impacts on hospitals and other medical providers, and the county’s ability to contain the disease.
Health Officer Dr. Karen Ramstrom said the new tracker will be up by the end of the week.
There also will be a color-coded graphic online to score how the county is doing, Ramstrom said.
In other local virus news, the county's virus caseload remained at 47 Tuesday with four deaths. Butte and Glenn counties were the only in far-northern California to have new confirmed cases Wednesday, with two each.
