Weed resident Ronald Beau Marshall was arrested today in connection with the Boles Fire after a three week investigation.

Weed PD Sergeant Justin Mayberry said Marshall is charged with one count California Penal Code 451(b) “arson of an inhabited structure or property,” one count 451(c) “arson of a structure or forest,” and one count 451(d) “arson of property of another.”

Bail has been set at $250,000.

Mayberry said the case was presented to the Siskiyou County District Attorney’s office several days ago. After reviewing the case, the DA presented it to a Superior Court judge, who issued a warrant for Marshall’s arrest based on the information provided in the investigation.

“Marshall was a person of interest from the beginning and had been questioned by the authorities prior to the day of his arrest,” Mayberry said.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Weed Police Department, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, and CAL FIRE investigators.
