Graduation, pinning ceremonies and a luncheon all highlight College of the Siskiyous 2009 commencement season. While graduation numbers aren’t in yet, here’s a preview of the activities to help you plan your calendar.

Honor Awards Banquet

Programs which support students at COS celebrated the end of the year with an awards banquet on April 24 at the Mount Shasta Resort.

Students who earned at least a 3.0 GPA in 18 or more units during the spring, summer and fall 2008 semesters received an honors plaque.

Students who earned at least a 3.5 GPA in 24 or more units in 2008 received a high honors plaque.

Approximately 65 guests were in attendance for the luncheon to receive their awards and support the students in their educational effort.

During the awards presentation, many students shared comments about what it took for them to get to this point in college and how the EOPS/CARE, SSS and/or CalWORKs programs and the staff have helped them to achieve success as students.
