Marilyn Lemmon submitted this photo taken during Monday night's thunderstorm. It was taken from N. Old Stage Road looking towards McCloud. More thunderstorms are in the forecast as firefighters continue to battle northern California blazes that were started by lightning the last week of July.

Four fires started by lighting Aug. 4 and 5 on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest were all contained at less than half an acre, according to information posted on the inciweb internet site.

Fire officials expect more fires to be reported over the next few days.

The following confirmed starts were reported on the Shasta McCloud Management Unit:

-- Castle, .20 acres, contained Aug. 4.

-- Dunsmuir, .10 acres, contained Aug. 4.

-- Hazel, .10 acres, contained Aug. 4.

-- Stink, .25 acres, contained Aug. 4.
