Planes and helicopter helping in wildfire fight in Weed

Efforts to extinguish a wildfire east of the town of Weed include two planes and a helicopter. The fire was estimated at 10 to 20 acres as of about 5:45 p.m. Thursday, May 19, according to CAL FIRE public information officer Suzanne Brady.

A command post for the fire that is being referred to as the Mill Fire has been established in the Carrick area of Weed. It is burning near the area referred to as Murphy's Grove.

No evacuations have been ordered.
