This year the Siskiyou County Home Guard is offering two drawing prizes. The grand prize is a seven-day houseboat vacation on Shasta Lake, donated by Holiday Harbor. Second prize is a flight for two in a Cessna 172 around Mt. Shasta, donated by David Baird.

All of the money raised from the drawing will go towards gift boxes and other items for soldiers from Siskiyou County who are deployed in a war zone -- and to help the families of the soldiers. It will also help veterans in Siskiyou County.

Tickets are on sale at Scott Valley Bank. Cost is $5 for one ticket or three for $10.
