When the online Crossfit community came together recently to help victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, Mount Shasta’s Stoneway Crossfit participated.

The idea was to have members do a special workout at the gym called #Helen4Harvey. Once finished they would put a few dollars in a jar. At the end of the day, the total amount donated would be matched by members Adam and Tracie Oreck, owners of Coldwell Banker Mountain Gate Properties in Mount Shasta.

Sixty-three people walked through the Stoneway Crossfit doors on Sept. 6, completed the workout, and raised $820. With matching funds from Adam and Tracie, $1,640 was sent from the Mount Shasta community to @beyondthewhiteboard to help with relief efforts.
