Obituary: Dennis Moser
Seventy-two year old Montague resident Dennis Dean Moser passed away on September 27, 2020 at his home while surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born on September 11, 1948 to Robert and Edna Moser in Minnesota. After graduating from high school, Dennis served as an elevator technician in the Minneapolis area for over 30 years.
Dennis and his wife, Ruth, moved to Siskiyou County in 2003. Dennis was a racing buff – a big NASCAR fan. He was a part of a pit crew in his 30s in Alexandria, Minnesota, and also involved as part of a pit crew with his son, Robert, at Siskiyou Motor Speedway. Dennis was also a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge.
Dennis enjoyed the small things in life: watching football, hunting, fishing, making furniture or carving wood, collecting crystals, and lifelong reminiscing while listening to “Old Time” country music. He was the happiest spending time with his family – his great grandchildren were truly his pride and joy.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth; his children, Laura (Carlyle) Trytten of Woodland, Wash., and Robert of Lake Shastina; his siblings Diane and David, both of Minnesota; and by his four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other family members.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held at a later date.
