Not so thrilled about music with fireworks

Staff Writer

Dear Editor,

For next year’s fireworks, let’s kill the music. The group I was with were in agreement that the music actually distracted from the display.

Somehow the music didn’t sync with the spectacular fireworks program, and drowned out the real “music” of the clapping and cheering of everyone watching.

Also we have to remember that what is music to one person’s ears may be noise to another person, especially someone in the older age group.

However, our group covered three generations. But if the majority liked the music, next year we’ll find a quiet place to watch.
