Businesses leaving

Dear Editor,

This administration keeps looking at this economic problem with wreckless disregard of the true cause.

If I owned a small business, I would not even consider taking out a business loan while facing Health Care Reform, Cap and Trade, Card Check, Higher Taxes, Inflation that will surely be worse than the Carter Years, and the continuation of deficit spending by this administration.

This idea that the government controls the economy is a farce. It’s controlled by the consumer. If the consumer stops spending, as they have, everything stops.

The government cannot reverse this with massive spending, that never worked in the past and it won't work now. However, it will bankrupt the country and I’m starting to believe that is exactly what they want to do.

It is time for us to throw the bums out. We also need to throw out the state bums as well. With 40-plus years of Democrat control in California, all they have done is bankrupt the state with all their social spending.

We started this fiscal year already $36 billion in the red and have already added a new $600 million bond issue. It’s no wonder businesses are leaving the state in record numbers.

Every time a business leaves, the tax burden on the remaining businesses and the public will surely increase.
