Letters to the editor: Learn about it

If you’ve been paying attention to new evidence about coronavirus, you’re beginning to realize along with me that it is simply another flu, no worse than others. In Germany, large-scale testing was done for the virus. Many people without symptoms tested positive, and a close watch was kept on all positive results. The death rate was one tenth of one percent, 0.1%, the same as most other flus.

Here is information from the web page https://www.wnd.com/2020/03/dr-fauci-concedes-coronavirus-death-rate-like-bad-flu/. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of the White House Coronavirus Taskforce, co-authored an article published Thursday in the New England Journal of Medicine predicting the fatality rate for the coronavirus will turn out to be like that of a “severe seasonal influenza.” In an exceptionally bad flu season, the case fatality rate is about one-tenth of 1 percent, the authors write.

Regarding the current coronavirus pandemic, they said: “If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%.” His current assessment is a significant downgrade from the figure he cited in testimony to the House of Representatives on March 11 in which he called for a cancellation of any large gatherings. “The seasonal flu that we deal with every year has a mortality of 0.1%,” he explained at the hearing.

This just came in today, March 31st, from www.Worldometers.info

Between January 1 and March 25, 2020

Deaths worldwide from the coronavirus: 21,297

Deaths worldwide from seasonal flu: 113,034

Let us not remain ignorant of the true facts about this virus. Similar evidence as above is coming in from many directions; we only have to learn about it.
