Flacco named MVP of Super Bowl XLVII

Ravens QB Joe Flacco won the Pete Rozelle Trophy Sunday night as the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII.

In the Ravens' 34-31 win over the 49ers, Flacco completed 22-of-33 passes for 287 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He became the sixth player in NFL history to throw three or more touchdowns in the first half of a Super Bowl. 

Flacco's 11 touchdown passes in the playoffs tied Joe Montana (1989) and Kurt Warner (2008) for the most by any player in a single postseason.

In Super Bowl XLVII, Flacco had a passer rating of 124.2. In four playoff games, Flacco's passer rating was 117.2. He completed 66.7 of his passes in the Super Bowl, his best completion percentage since Week 16.
