Sports update: Bears drop two to Tulelake

The Mount Shasta High School baseball team slid from first place to fourth after a pair of losses to Tulelake Tuesday.

While the Bears’ Shasta Cascade League record fell to 8-4, Tulelake improved to 9-3 and moved into a tie for first with Fall River.

The Bears also trail Trinity (7-3) by percentage points. Mount Shasta is scheduled to end its regular season at Trinity this Friday, May 7.

Fall River plays its final two league games against Burney (2-10), while Tulelake finishes Friday at Etna (6-6).
