Southern California’s two teams are dominating the California Community College Softball State Championships in Bakersfield this weekend.

College of the Siskiyous lost its first two games and was eliminated Saturday by fellow northern California team Cosumnes River, 3-2.

The Eagles, playing in their fourth consecutive state championships, finished the season 28-13 overall.

Down 3-1, Siskiyous scored a run in their final at-bat but came up short.

Cypress, which opened with a 14-6 win over Siskiyous, advanced to the tournament finals undefeated with a win over Mt. San Antonio.

Mt. San Antonio then eliminated Cosumnes to earn a berth in the championship round.

Cypress (41-6) has won five previous state championships and Mt. San Antonio  (38-12) has won four.
