College of the Siskiyous held Shasta College to just 44 yards rushing and 79 yards passing during a 26-17 win Saturday night in Redding.

The Eagles improved to 5-3 overall in front of a Memorial Stadium crowd reported at 1126.

Siskiyous quarterback Josh Hudson completed 21 of 29 passes for 252 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

Taylor Cox rushed for 120 yards on 30 carries and 1 touchdown.

Jerrell Young caught 8 passes for 80 yards, and Tamir Polk, Tyler Scheller and Te’Aire Bell all caught TD throws.

In other weekend sports, the Weed High School football team lost Friday night at Etna, 21-6, the Mount Shasta Bears lost to visiting Durham, 40-8, and the College of the Siskiyous volleyball team swept Lassen in Weed, 3-0.

Mount Shasta High School’s JV football team celebrated its first win of the season, 27-14, over Durham.
