College of the Siskiyous sophomore Anna Miller will take her best in the state 0.68 earned run average into the Eagles' opener Friday evening at the CCCAA Softball State Championship Final 4. Miller has a 22-2 record with 214 strikeouts in 142.1 innings. The Northern California Pitcher of the Year this season, she'll be opposed by Riverside's Nichole Zink, Southern California's Pitcher of the Year, who has a 24-9 record, 1.89 ERA, and 253 strikeouts in 221.2 innings. Making their sixth consecutive appearance in the state championships under coach Doug Eastman, second from left, the Eagles are attempting to win it all for the first time.
