The Weed Cougars won in their second volleyball contest against Etna this season, 6-0, Tuesday in Weed.

Chris Vancil scored three, one with an assist by goalie Carlos Sanchez. Sanchez kicked the ball up the middle, and Vancil took it all the way to the net.

Andrew Matheson, Noah Gonzalez and Max Michelon each scored one.

Sanchez said he didn't see much action, but cheered Sami Donaldson who saved the shut out when she blocked an Etna shot that got past him.

Weed, 3-0-0 in league and 4-0-1 overall, is scheduled to play Trinity, 1-1-1 (1-2-1 overall), at home on Thursday.
