“It’s better than having no winter,” Logan Ramshaw said of Mount Shasta’s long winter while he was shoveling snow off the sidewalk beneath the iconic downtown mural on the wall of Ramshaw’s ACE Hardware store March 24, 2017.
Snow fell in town throughout the morning but subsided in the early afternoon. Some rain and snow remain in the National Weather Service forecast for the rest of the day Friday, but Saturday’s forecast calls for cloudy skies and a high of 50 degrees in Mount Shasta.
More wet weather is probable on Sunday, according to NWS.
